Prison Outreach
Crossfire, led by Randy Shepherd and Jamie Johnson, have preached, ministered and competed in basketball and softball in the minimum, medium, and maximum security prisons across the United States (NC, SC, GA, TX, VA, TN, AL, AK, etc.) and around the world.

When you go into a prison and say you are going to have a Bible study, you will get about 5% of the inmates out; but, if you say you are going to have a ballgame, 95% of the inmates will come to a ballgame in prison. At half-time in basketball, or the 7th-inning stretch in softball, Crossfire puts the ball down and picks up the Bible. When Crossfire athletes have dunked, made three-pointers, or hit homeruns and are ahead by 20 points at the half or by 10 runs after the game, the inmates will listen to the message. Their response is “these Christians aren’t the wimps we thought they were.” You gain their respect on the court or on the field, and you have an attentive audience. The Holy Spirit speaks through the Crossfire athletes. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is presented, and many have come to Christ- Glory to the Lord

Crossfire has ministered alongside Chuck Colson and Prison Fellowship through the Starting Line in past years. Bars do not change anyone, only the Lord Jesus Christ can. We must take the message to them!
