College & University Outreach
For 12 years Crossfire competed against NCAA division I basketball teams in the exhibition season. Crossfire played Universities such as Appalachian State, East Tennessee State, Western Carolina, Furman, Charleston Southern, Liberty, UNC-Asheville, and other division I teams. The NCAA incorporated a new rule in 2003 that division I NCAA teams could not compete against exhibition teams like Crossfire.
Crossfire now competes against NCAA division II, NAIA, and junior college teams in the exhibition season. We do conduct chapel services for NCAA division I teams upon request. We will share a testimony with the players and coaches and close with the Gospel message, giving them an opportunity to make a decision for Jesus Christ. Many times athletes will listen to other athletes on issues that they are facing. Many college and university coaches have told us that the share time with their teams was the highlight of their season.
